Meghan

From the front, this gorgeous girl had the most adorable brown eyes and underbite. From the side, however, it’s obvious why we had to pull her from the shelter. Meghan had a large mass hanging from her lower abdomen. It was about the size of a large grapefruit and although it didn’t seem to bother her, it was heavy and she seemed to be walking “around” the mass to compensate.
Our biggest concern was that the tumor had metastasized and spread to other vital organs. Bloodwork showed good results with no immediate concerns. After surgery, margins were narrow but clean. All that we needed to do now is make sure she was adopted to a family that would make sure she went in for regular checkups to make sure she stayed healthy.
After watching Meghan's progress through surgery and aftercare, the veterinary technician that had taken care of Meghan had grown close to her and  decided to adopt her. We couldn't have asked for a better ending!
