MEDICAL SPOTLIGHT - Sawyer
This poor, precious little soul was found in a dumpster in Pinal County. Thrown away like yesterday's trash! Unbelievable!!!
She is only about 6-8 weeks old. A little puppy that someone didn't think was worthy of a trip to the vet hospital to get the care she obviously needs. Well, she's safe with us now and we are going to give her all the love and care she needs and deserves. We have named her Sawyer.
She is only about 6-8 weeks old. A little puppy that someone didn't think was worthy of a trip to the vet hospital to get the care she obviously needs. Well, she's safe with us now and we are going to give her all the love and care she needs and deserves. We have named her Sawyer.
We believe that she is suffering from a condition called 'puppy strangles'. It's actually a pretty rare condition that doesn't have a known cause. The body's own immune system attacks the skin and causes swelling in the face as well as bumps and pustules. It's very painful and uncomfortable as you can well imagine.
Sawyer will be undergoing a few more tests and a full bloodwork panel to make sure there are no other issues. Check out our Facebook and Instagram pages to follow along with her progress!
